Lizt Alfonso, one of Cuba's leading choreographers, conceived Lizt Alfonso DanceCuba in 1991. Using twenty-two female dancers in vivid swirling costumes accompanied by a musical ensemble of singers, guitar, bongo, drum, bass and keyboards, Lizt Alfonso explodes off the stage with the Afro-Cuban and Spanish rhythms.
